The size of the human prostate is about the shape of a walnut and it is really a devil when it becomes cancerous.
Millions of males are diagnosed of it and thousands die yearly from it. It has become the single most common cancer in men.
It is also the second deadliest cancer behind lung cancer. So if you have a man around you, you got to learn how to prevent this malignant menace.
Seven rules to follow:
Cut down on meat:
Prostate cancer is a hormone based disease that has been strongly linked to taking meat which contains a higher level of hormone-disrupting chemicals. Meat
intake should be cut down.
Don't fry food:
Diets that are high in dairy products like butter, cheese milk and saturated animal fats are highly associated with a higher incidence of prostate cancer.
Eat more fruit:
Eat five to nine daily servings of organic fresh fruit and vegetables. Eat plenty of rich red tomato sauces.
Try to include soya in your diet - soya milk, tofu or soya yoghurts.
These are all high in antioxidants, which protect our cells against the damaging effects of free radicals and can help prevent cancers.
Take vitamins:
Vitamin A, C, D and; Selenium and Flaxseed oil are the recommended daily supplements for prostate protection.
Stop smoking:
cigarettes should be given up so that the body will also protect the zinc levels.
Avoid making use of garden fertilisers and pesticides:
Many these contain hormone-disrupting chemicals.
Exercise:
Exercise can prevent cancer because it enhances natural immunity by improving circulation, blood pressure and the efficiency and strength of the heart.
It also improves the antioxidant defences of our cells, which can help to counter the potentially damaging effects of oxidants, and which can lead to the genetic
mutations that lie behind the development of cancers.
